TrueHear - Revolutionizing Hearing Loss Rehabilitation Globally, over 480 million people suffer from hearing impairment, making it the most common disability among those aged over 70. We are developing a novel solution for the unmet need in audiology; to test patients in real-life simulated sound environment, with and without hearing aids. TrueHear is a software for the hearing test as well as an end-to-end platform for the rehabilitation. Hearing tests are performed at physical self-service booths, hardware coming from partner. TrueHear will fundamentally change the quality of life for those struggling with the hearing loss, allowing them to continue a normal social life. There is a growing need for better treatment; thus, better treatment of hearing loss is a huge business opportunity. TrueHear is an interdisciplinary team from University of Eastern Finland financed by Business Finland Research-to-Business. Our mission is to revolutionize the treatment of hearing loss with our unique rehabilitation solution that guides both the patient and the professional in a realistic sound environment towards the optimal rehabilitation options.
