Thin, flexible, battery-free insoles that harvest energy from your steps to warm/cool or monitor the risk of foot ulcers
Solecooler is a young deeptech startup founded in 2019 in France, specializing in the development of patented, carbon-neutral products in the fields of thermoregulation and sensor-based monitoring. Its flagship product is a flexible, cellular insole called Climfeet, capable of warming or cooling the feet through the simple pressure exerted on the ground during walking or running, without the need for batteries. The primary customers for this initial product include: • Workers in refrigerated warehouses and construction companies. • Firefighters and military personnel. • Athletes. • Individuals suffering from Raynaud's disease or erythromelalgia. This product will subsequently be adapted for mass distribution in gloves, fins, and booties to protect the paw pads of search and rescue dogs and sled dogs. Its second product is a battery-free connected insole called Warnfeet, designed to prevent and detect the onset of ulcers and blisters for the 500 million diabetics, as well as workers and athletes facing foot-related issues. Warnfeet is equipped with 150 piezoelectric pressure sensors that operate without batteries (powered by the mechanical energy of our steps) and transmit 1000 data points per second to a smartphone application. Additionally, we offer licenses for other applications, such as cooling car seats, silent blocks, and tires. Solecooler positions itself as an expert in converting mechanical energy into heat/cold and/or electricity, particularly within elastic materials.
