Problem Statement Nigeria faces significant economic challenges, including rising inflation and the devaluation of the Naira, which erode the value of pensions for formal economy workers. Meanwhile, over 90% of the workforce, composed of informal economy workers, lacks access to the National Pension scheme, leaving them without pension benefits or financial safety nets for emergencies and retirement. Solution myStash addresses these challenges by offering a unique solution that enables both formal and informal economy workers in Nigeria to build financial resilience by auto-saving a percentage of their earnings in USD. For formal economy workers, the myStash app integrates with payroll systems, allowing them to automatically save a portion of their salary at the point of payroll before it reaches them. This integration not only ensures a seamless saving process but also protects savings from inflation by keeping them in USD, with the added benefit of earning interest. Informal economy workers also benefit from myStash by creating customized savings plans on the app, setting aside a percentage of their income to build financial safety nets and save towards retirement. Additionally, the myStash app includes a payment feature that facilitates receiving remittances and making international transfers, providing a comprehensive financial solution for our users.
