We are turning the Nordics into global leaders in research commercialization, with students leading the way. Currently MIMIR is doing this through two initiatives. MIMIR Fellows is a program and a network enabling efficient use of technology and science to form and evolve impactful companies. This program ventures into deep tech and academic research that can radically address some of our world’s biggest problems. MIMIR Fellows will educate a new generation of entrepreneurs to have the readiness to take university research around the Nordics to the market. Study trips executed as part of the program will create links to top universities worldwide – while guest lecturers and partners will ensure the involvement of industry and investors. Deep Dive is a case competition where students solve business development challenges of university based research commercialization projects (R2B). The event is a first push at bringing researchers and students together to bridge the gap currently between the two. In 2023, Deep Dive brings together around 40% of all R2B cases in Finland, and over 120 of the brightest business savvy students to crack the commercialization bottlenecks.
